So you want to learn a little more about me, the webmistress, huh?

My name is Sera, and as of June 27th 2007 I will be twenty-one years old, a fact that really boggles my mind because it seems like just yesterday that I was a wimpy little high schooler that spent her time crouched over the school computers with her jump drive, using MSpaint to work on dolls and bases between classes. That was how I got my start, after all.

My first encounter with dolling was when I was... eleven or so? It was with a web-based graphics chat program. It was a lot like palace, but having gone and used palace since them I have to say that I was fairly sure it wasn't palace. Either way, I found it interesting, and found my way to some early dolling sites, where I took and played with some bases and then promptly forgot about it.

Several years passed from then, and when I was about 16 I stumbled across some dolling sites again, and this time I didn't loose interest right away. My first ever doll was on a base from Hush, and it pretty much sucked, but I had a good time with it. I made several more, joined a forum that is now dead, and got deeper emerged in this hobby.

My first base totally sucked, but I had a lot of fun with it, and soon after discovered that was what I enjoyed working on the most. Soon after making it I just couldn't stop, and eventually I made the base that was to be my claim to (demi)fame. The Omake set started as one base for one doll of two characters from a story of mine (the same story that the doll in the previous layout and the two girls in the current layout were from, actually), but it got such a big response that I made a whole set of wacky poses for people to use. To this day I see more dolls done on the Omake set than any other set of mine (and I admit I often am sick of the Omake bases).

I do have interests outside of dolling, and occasionally I vanish from the hobby to pay attention to them. I like role playing, both original and for some of my favorite anime series and video games. I enjoy writing, and have a handful of short story collections and novels in the works, all that need finishing. And then there are my real dolls. I own several asian ball-jointed dolls, and chances are that if I'm not dolling I'm off obsessing over that money-draining hobby.
